Novak Djokovic To Play In Paris 2024 Olympics
After participating in a practice session at the All-England Club, Novak Djokovic has indicated that he may be fit for Wimbledon.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion had a knee injury at the French Open, making him a question for the year’s third major.

Following his grueling triumph over Francisco Cerundolo in the Paris semifinals, Djokovic’s right knee ligament damage was revealed.

Following his quarterfinal withdrawal, Djokovic disclosed that he had undergone surgery to treat a meniscus problem.

“After sustaining a meniscus tear during my last match, I had to make some difficult decisions in the last day,” he stated. “While I’m still getting over everything, I’m glad to let you know that the surgery went well.

“I am incredibly grateful for the group of doctors that have supported me, as well as the tremendous love and support I have received from my fans.

“I’m going to try my hardest to get well and be ready to play again as soon as possible.

“What keeps me going is my strong love for this sport and my desire to compete at the highest level.”

There was no indication of Djokovic’s intended return date to competitive tennis, raising questions about his ability to play in Wimbledon, which begins on July 1.

But on Sunday, Wimbledon showed Djokovic striking balls on the grass in SW19, hinting at the possibility that he will bid for a 25th Grand Slam in London.

Although the intensity of the practice was unknown and he was wearing a lot of strapping on his right knee, Djokovic’s supporters will be greatly encouraged to see him smashing balls on grass.

Djokovic will need to return to clay in order to compete for gold at the Olympics in Roland-Garros after Wimbledon.
The only noteworthy item missing from Djokovic’s trophy collection is an Olympic gold medal.
