Eagles set to consider a move involving a former Packers star.

Before training camp, the Philadelphia Eagles may yet make one or more changes.
Green Bay Packers offensive tackle David Bakhtiari (69) blocks Chicago Bears defensive end Yannick Ngakoue (91) during second half of their game on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023 at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Philadelphia has the tenth-most cap space left, and training camp is coming up soon. With somewhat less than $25 million remaining, the Eagles should soon have more opportunities for free agency. A few players who are still searching for their next opportunity and could be able to assist Philadelphia in free agency are still available.

One man who would be a compelling choice for the Eagles is David Bakhtiari, a former standout player for the Green Bay Packers. Despite being one of the best tackles in recent memory, injuries have limited him to just 13 appearances in total over the past three seasons.

He is currently a free agent and should be well enough to play in 2024. The Eagles have a wealth of offensive linemen, so why not take a shot on him at a reduced cost if he’s available? Between 2016 and 2020, he received three Pro Bowl selections and five All-Pro nominations.

Although Philadelphia has money to spend, adding someone like Bakhtiari could only be beneficial. The offensive line is in fantastic shape for Philadelphia.

Before you know it, training camp will begin, and injuries will undoubtedly occur as they do every year. Why not add additional detail if Bakhtiari is in good health? The Eagles’ offensive line is one of their strongest points, and Bakhtiari’s addition would only strengthen it.
