 Dolphins officially seal the signature of Chop Robinson, Marcus Maye and waived defensive tackle Daviyon Nixon Sr.

Chop Robinson, a linebacker selected in the first round, has been signed by the Miami Dolphins.

In the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Robinson was chosen with the 21st overall pick. Over the course of two seasons (2022–2023), he participated in 22 games with 10 starts for Penn State, recording 41 tackles (31 solo), 9.5 sacks, three passes defensed, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. In 2023, he was named to the first team of the Big 10 and the third team of the All-American team. Robinson moved from Maryland, where as a true freshman, he had 19 tackles (12 solo) and 2.0 sacks.

After playing for the New York Jets for five years (2017–21) and New Orleans for two years (2022–23), Maye is back for his eighth season in the NFL. In his 77 career starts, he has racked up 405 tackles (286 solo), 4.5 sacks, 28 passes defensed, eight interceptions, five forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. In the 2017 NFL Draft, the New York Jets selected him with the 39th overall choice in the second round. Maye attended Florida to play collegiately.

Nixon joined the Dolphins on March 7, 2024, as a signatory. During his two seasons (2021–2022) with Carolina, he participated in 14 NFL games and made 15 career tackles (four solo) and 0.5 sacks. In 2022, he was a member of Seattle’s active roster as well. He was originally selected by Carolina in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft (158th overall). Nixon attended Iowa to play collegiately.
