Bulldogs second-rower Viliame Kikau will have to pay a $1000 fine for having a Careless High Tackle after being the first player penalized for an incident involving rival hooker Blayke Brailey in the 21st minute of play.

Teammate Toby Sexton, who was charged for using a Crusher Tackle, would also end up in the MRC’s bad books and face a $1000 fine. He would also have to make an early guilty plea.

Sharks forward Oregon Kaufusi was also charged with using a Crusher Tackle; if he is found guilty and chooses to contest the allegation, his fine would be upped to $1500. Sexton wasn’t the only one to face this punishment.
