The addition of the Dutchman on Philippe Clement’s backroom team will not change Stephan van der Heyden, the manager’s second-in-command from the previous season, according to Chris Jack, who made the announcement via the outlet’s website on June 24.

Furthermore, Alex Rae and Brian Gilmour, who were appointed subsequent to Michael Beale’s dismissal from the previous term, will stay on, and the Daily Record also revealed that Colin Stewart will be staying on that same day.

Rae, an ex-Gers midfielder, was supposed to have had his contract expire this summer, but Jack had already announced on June 17 that the Scot would likely return for the upcoming season.

With the addition of a new guy and the retention of important members of the coaching staff, it appears like everyone will be working hard for the upcoming season.

Following his tenure as Royal Antwerp’s assistant manager the previous season, supporters will be hoping Ulderink can have a good effect.

Additionally, those who were previously at Ibrox will have to demonstrate that they can arrange the players so that they resemble the first few months of Clement’s reign as opposed to the latter.

When the Belgian took over for Beale, Rangers’ performance saw a significant uptick as they emerged victorious in the Scottish Premiership, defeated Celtic, and won the Viaplay Cup. Rangers also qualified for the Europa League knockout stages as group winners.

However, all of that effort was ultimately in vain, as no more medals were won and the Scottish Cup was also lost to the Old Firm opponents in the championship game.

As the Light Blues attempt to respond to how the season concluded, Clement is reorganizing the team this summer, and it is evident that changes are also occurring behind the scenes.
