Joshua Kimmich, a standout for Bayern Munich, has reportedly narrowed down his list of potential destinations to three Premier League clubs while he continues to hold out for a new deal.
Kimmich is entering the final year of his contract with Bayern Munich and is unlikely to renew
Though his contract with the Bavarian club expires at the end of the upcoming season, uncertainties persist regarding the 29-year-old’s long-term future there.

As things stand, it’s’very improbable’ that Kimmich would sign a new contract; discussions regarding an extension have not yet taken place, Sky Germany reports.

According to the source, if Bayern can secure a price for Kimmich this summer, they would be willing to trade the player, who is now serving with Germany in Europe till 2024.

The athlete is comfortable with the prospect of leaving Bayern and would not object to playing out the remaining year of his contract without an extension.

Interested clubs will need to get in touch with Kimmich directly as he does not currently have an agent, even though he is receiving guidance and support.

Along with Barcelona and Real Madrid, Kimmich is considering joining Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

When asked about his future last week, Kimmich responded, “The situation is absolutely clear.”

I’m under contract with Bayern until 2025, so being active at the moment isn’t really my responsibility.

“I am completely focused on the European Championship; we will talk afterward.”

In reference to Vincent Kompany’s hiring as Bayern’s new manager, Kimmich continued, saying, “Of course I know him from a distance as a player.” He’s still too new to be judged as a coach.

Of course, what the club thinks matters to me, but it matters to me more than anything else in the near future. We’re relieved to have one less item to worry about.

After spending £7.1 million to join Bayern from RB Leipzig in 2015, Kimmich has made 390 appearances for the team, tallying 42 goals and dishing out 104 assists.

In that period, he has also assisted the team in winning eight Bundesliga crowns, the Champions League, and several other trophies.
