In the second game of the 2024 State of Origin series, Tabuai-Fidow hurt his shoulder, forcing him to leave the field. He later returned to play against the NSW Blues in the second half.

He has an AC joint ailment, which the Dolphins have verified, but it’s only a minor grade-one injury, so he should be good for Game 3 of the 2024 State of Origin series.

He won’t be out for any more games, but he won’t be available for this week’s game against the Dragons. Trai Fuller will continue to wear the No. 1 jersey at the back of the field.

“In actuality, he would be justified in choosing the Dolphins if we didn’t have a bye next week,” Dophins Head of Performance Jeremy Hickmans stated in a statement.

“He is unlikely to feature for us against the Rabbitohs on July 11 due to the third Origin camp.

“The injury looks pretty good at the moment and should not cause him any trouble in his next game, will most likely be for Queensland.”
