GOOD NEWS: Rangers eye huge profit after another sealed deal at Ibrox.

Clinton Nsiala is not expected to make a major impact at Rangers from the off after the defender was signed from AC Milan, according to the Daily Record.

Milan, Nsiala ai saluti: il giovane centrale andrà ai Rangers

On June 14, the publication stated on their website that the 20-year-old defender is a “project signing” and that the Light Blues anticipate he will follow in the footsteps of former Ibrox star Calvin Bassey by developing at the team and then being sold for a “huge profit”.

Despite being named in first-team squads while playing for the Italian powerhouses, Nsiala has never participated in a senior football match; hence, his performance in Glasgow is considered “the big unknown.”

After winger Oscar Cortes returned on a loan to buy a team that included full-back Jefte and a young Frenchman who agreed to a pre-contract to join on July 1, the young Frenchman became the third confirmed signing of the summer. There will likely be more transactions during the transfer window since Rangers need players who can immediately enhance the first team.

However, the Light Blues will gain in the long run if he can develop into the player Philippe Clement undoubtedly thinks he will be.

Theoretically, players like Nsiala can progress in the background as long as the manager and Nils Koppen are able to add enough reinforcements with the necessary skill and experience to improve the performance levels right away in the upcoming season.

But if he had to start playing right away and establish his worth, it would probably mean that the long-term injury problems at Ibrox would continue, or that the players who came before him would lose their way.
