REPORTING: Nottingham Forest Connection Robert De Zerbi Purported To Have A Contract With An Unidentified Club

Roberto De Zerbi was paid for by Brighton by an unidentified team, according to reports in Italy, despite the Italian strategist being connected to Nottingham Forest.

After discussions with the club, De Zerbi left Brighton by mutual consent at the end of the season; rumors had it that he didn’t get along with owner Tony Bloom.

Due to the Italian’s €15 million release clause in his Brighton contract, most clubs were hesitant to make a move for him.

Although there are rumors that his contract has been broken and he is free to sign with any team, there are claims in Italy that this is not quite true and that a club paid to sign him.

Italian journalist Luca Cerchione claims that Brighton has received a €5 million transfer fee for De Zerbi from an undisclosed club, with the Italian expected to take over.

De Zerbi has allegedly consented to assume leadership of a secret squad, and nothing is known to have leaked from his camp.

In addition to being connected to Nottingham Forest, he is also the subject of attention from AC Milan, Napoli, and Marseille.

It is implied that a deal has been reached for De Zerbi to take over at the unidentified club; however, it is unclear when the team’s identity will be made public.
