BREAKING: Former Indiana DB tagged the “All-Big Ten” Kobee Minor hosted by Michigan State

Football at Michigan State is not played through the portal. Not even near.

Over the previous few weeks, Jonathan Smith and the Spartans have been linked to multiple transfers; since the new head coach took over, they have even brought in 20 players. In recent weeks, he has secured pledges from a number of high-profile players, including Ed Woods, Lejond Cavazos, Jalen Satchell, Marcellius Pulliam, Ru’Quan Buckley, Tyler Gillison, Andrew Dennis, and Kay’Ron Lynch-Adams.

Although the roster is beginning to take shape, it is evident that Smith is not happy with it as of mid-May, since he is currently hosting several moves.

Michigan State supporters became aware of an intriguing name on Tuesday.

Kobee Minor

Even though his name might not seem very recognizable, he played for the Indiana Hoosiers last season and was an honorable mention All-Big Ten player, earning 20 tackles and four pass breakups. On Nov. 18, he really had a respectable game with four tackles against the Spartans.

Minor was a vital member of Texas Tech’s team before joining Indiana. With the Red Raiders, he played in 23 games during the course of two seasons. He began as a star on special teams before switching to backup cornerback, where he concluded his sophomore campaign in 2022 with 12 tackles and two pass breakups.

It’s obvious that Smith is prepared to add players like Cavazos and Woods to strengthen the defensive backfield. Something great is brewing here, if he can also land Minor.

East Lansing hasn’t had a strong pass defense in a while, and it appears that Demetrice Martin and Blue Adams are attempting to change the narrative quickly.
